Terry + Jess {Brisbane & Destination Wedding Photographer}

When I got an email from Jess a few months ago asking if I photograph elopements I started to get excited.  I've never known anyone who's eloped but having done the big, traditional wedding myself, in hindsight I think they're a fabulous idea.

Terry & Jess had decided they wanted a very small, private ceremony with just their daughter, parents and two best friends so they rented a beautiful property in Bangalow (in the hills behind Byron Bay) and slipped away for a secret wedding weekend.

It was an absolute delight to spend the afternoon with Terry, Jess and their loved ones.
I have to say, the only negative to the entire day was being told on arrival about the two 'beautiful' snakes that like to spend their days sun-baking on the verandah....ugh!
But - praise the Lord! - they didn't show themselves that day.
 FYI - I do not do lizards and snakes!

Though it was a low-key wedding, Jess hadn't skimped on the details for the black & white theme.
She'd even spent the morning doing the table setting herself!

It was a quiet, lovely wedding and I was blessed to be a part of it.
Congratulations Terry & Jess!

  1. That’s amazing. The photography work was inspirational. My best friend is also going to get married and I am going to cover her wedding photo session. She will be having a chic fairy themed night ceremony at some local LA venues. Do you have some tips for me to cover this day with full professionalism?
